Best Western Inn of Sedona or Sky Ranch Lodge

I am going to a cooking retreat and Best Western and Sky Ranch have both been suggested as close to the Sedona Retreat Center. Which do you recommend

Thanks,
Alberta

Sky Ranch, hands down, because it has a very beautiful location, at the top of Airport Mesa, just a few steps from one of the best scenic overlooks in Sedona, and beautifully landscaped grounds that attract roadrunners and the like. The Best Western looks like a nice property, but just plain vanilla and certainly not scenic.

We have stayed at the Sky Ranch Lodge twice. Great location on top of a mesa, so you look down into the city. At night you'll see more stars than you've ever seen before....beautiful. The lodge has nicely manicured grounds with meandering paths and a pool and hot tub. The rooms are on the large side and have the usual amenities. It's not ulta fancy, but quite nice for about $100 a night. I cannot comment on the Best Western, sorry! Have fun!

We stayed at that Best Western last year. It was fine. The rooms were big enough and clean enough but the best thing about this place is the patio area. Every morning and evening we would sit out there staring at the beautiful views. We also loved the location which is just down from the Sky Ranch.

If I were to go back either of these properties would be my first choice. Very affordable and great location.

The airport restaurant does have good food as someone else has mentioned.

Enjoy!
