I have always thought that Venice Beach on a Saturday was the best... can you beat that?

I don't know.... it's pretty interesting at Walmart sometimes!
What about Las Vegas.
Washington Square Park and Central Park in NYC are pretty good.
Harvard Square is pretty interesting.
Looking over Duvall St. Key West from a balcony with a beer in your hand is pretty good.
Most large airports offer good people watching
garyt22, I read your comment about Venice Beach on that other thread, and my first thought was in ALL of America?! I'll give you the left coast LOL.
Agree with Adu: pretty much anywhere in Manhattan, but if I had to give one single location, Central Park (in good weather). Or almost any part of the MTA!!
The Union Square area of San Francisco.
Las Vegas or New York...we saw some pretty, ahem, amazing folks in Times Square.
airports. any airport.
i'm with suze, airport were the first thing I thought of.
Amusement parks and water parks are pretty good too.
Times Square after dark, and the cable car stop at Powell & Market in San Francisco. Venice Beach is a good spot too.
The Clevelander Bar adjacent to Ocean Drive in South Miami Beach. Sure, Manhattan may have celebs and beautiful people, but SoBe will have them wearing next to nothing.
Went to Vegas in April for the first time. My answer is Vegas.
Minnesota State Fair
anybody for New Orleans? or were you too drunk to see people?
Times Square, New York City.
A small town during their 4th of July celebration.
A mall anywhere in the US on Christmas Eve = perfect for people watching desperate men rushing around trying to find presents to buy.
I'll be more specific... Heathrow
South Beach
Definitely the Village - esp the night of the Halloween parade. But really any sidewalk cafe. Does anyone else remember rollerina? Of the guys dressed in a loincloth that used to perch on fire hydrants like a bird.
Central Park on Sunday isn't bad either.
Tagging on to suze's post...my favorite minute of any movie -
this movie intro of Love Actually.

They filmed for two weeks at Heathrow and if they caught something they liked, an assistant around the corner would approach the people to sign releases. Love, LOVE
The grassy area above the Cove in La Jolla, CA and the swimmers/divers in the Cove itself.

And then walk up the "secret" steps to the Starbucks on Prospect.
Or Sat night in the Gaslamp in San Diego. These young girls (who look like Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Models) - wear cocktail dresses that maybe come down to mid-thigh - and have the barest of straps/coverage on top (no bras of course) - plus they love the 5" or longer heels.

Have seen about everything in California over the years and that's saying something (What - going back to the swining 60's and 70's/SF's Haight Ashbury/Marin county love ins, etc,) - and even I did a double take when I was out for a rare late evening downtown here in SD - and hit the street - following seeing The "Love Doctor" - Craig Shoemaker http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Craig_Shoemaker do his comedy schtick at the theater in Horton Plaza.
Disneyland, and any major airport.
I just go back from Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. The strip in Pigeon Forge was pretty decent for people watching.
Cheyenne Frontier Days is pretty interesting- real cowboys, fake cowboys, buckle bunnies, big hair, no hair....
Sturgis is pretty interesting too.
Aspen for a whole different type of people watching.
Pioneer Square in Portland Oregon is good.
Any international airport terminal will give you a few good hours.
A local Little League baseball match.
Going through security in an airport (if you are organised enough to be able to look around).
The waiting room of the small animal veterinary hospital.
In front of the primate centre in a zoo.
The Farm Store in any small town.
Umm, Heathrow isn't in America. (Or have we annexed it for its people-watching value?)
NY subways
WalMart
LAX
LOL JanieMac. Some good - out of the "ordinary" choices.
More diversity than on Haloween in San Francisco.
Hey - if you really want to see something different - try ComicCon in San Diego.
http://tinyurl.com/7j4atl4
I could sit for hours in Washington Square Park in the spring or fall- great people watching;
Lincoln Mall in Miami;
Provincetown on a warm summer night.
What on earth is a buckle bunny?
ER
Walmart
DMV
@Melnq8 - buckle bunny = a rodeo cowboy groupie
@Melnq8 - buckle bunny = a rodeo cowboy groupie
of EITHER gender!
My first thought was sitting on a balcony beside Bourbon Street in New Orleans. Any time day or night, 24/7.
Okay, thanks.
Venice Beach, LA... ye, man, major wacko dude bum weed smokin' hot chickas hangout.
My local pizzeria has weirdos coming in often, worth a look.
I just like to sit in the middle of Times Square and check out the tourists. I get asked to take snap shots alot.
A lot of celebs are around and/or inside of Central Park.
