Best San Diego Restaurant with a View?

Will be visiting San Diego area the latter part of September. Want to dine at some good restaurants with a view, either of the ocean and/or the city skyline with beautiful night lights. Any suggestions would be helpful. Plan on eating at one of our fav, George's at the Cove and Brockton Villa. But would like more recommendations. Thanks

Two city-view restaurants that come to mind: Island Prime http://www.cohnrestaurants.com/cohn/...slandprime.php and Bertrand at Mister A's http://www.bertrandatmisteras.com/

Many people like Mr. A's in the Hillcrest area (I believe it is around Laurel St & 4th/5th) for their view of the city and the harbor.

I was there tons of years ago, the food was good, but a little stuffy.

I like Peohe's in Coronado for their lovely view of the bay/harbor. The food is good, but not spectacular.

I know other SanDiegoFodorites will weight in - you'll have tons of suggestions and not enough time to visit everything. By the way, George's & Brockton are great and my first choices too.
Enjoy your stay!

nana, Mr A's has been Bertrand at Mr A's for a few years now, all modernised, different menu, same owner as Mille Fleurs.

Would recommend Fish Market on the patio or Island Prime. Fish Market is my first choice. For a great view of the skyline at night, go to the Skybar at the top of the Marriott Gaslamp for a drink.

Forgot to add that we just stayed at the Marriott Gaslamp across from Petco Park and what a great rooftop bar!

What is the place that is atop a high raise bank building in downtown? My mom lives in SD and I have seen the ad's and reviews for it. It is even above the planes landing at SD airport and supposed to have a great view over SD.

My mom lived on Coronado for a few years and we went to dinner at Il Fornaio next to Peohe's (ate there also..so..so) and it had a great bay level view back across the bay toward SD and food was excellent.

You could take the ferry from the Broadway Pier over to The Landing on Coronado walk a few yards to dinner and ferry back, great evening!
