Best route home from page, az to ny?

I know you'll All have good advice!

We're going to be flying from NY to st. George Utah - spending one night at Zion lodge. Then driving to amangiri for 4 nights.

Question is - where to go next and ultimately home.

My best guess was to fly from page to Scottsdale and slend 2 nights and then fly home. My husband thinks we should drive back to st. George 3 hours then take 2 planes to get home.

Is there anything half way to stop and drive to another major airport? Or is my idea best

When is this trip? Most people going to Zion fly to either Las Vegas or Phoenix and drive. You should return the rental car to whichever place you rented it to avoid a drop off fee.
My choice would be to fly to Las Vegas and see Hoover Dam and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon before Page and Zion.
The rental cars are much cheaper in LV than at the smaller airports or even Phoenix.

I would go back to St. George. Stop at Bryce Canyon and/or Zion for a night or two.

Google maps has it as a 2.5 hour drive from Amangiri to St. George. Whether you fly out of St. George or Page, you'll be making a connection through a major airport somewhere. So you may as well just return to St. George and see more of Zion and/or Bryce - one night at Zion after your arrival isn't much time to see anything.

This is not an endorsement. http://www.amanresorts.com/amangiri/location.aspx
Looks like it's on the west side of Lake Powell not too far north of Page.
While you are in the area, try to see the Wave.
Come back from Zion by way of St. George and I-15 into Las Vegas.
Flights into LAS should be cheaper than to the smaller airports also.

J62- found it. Super $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 600 acre resort

RE: tomfuller - I agree, BUT you will have to enter a daily drawing in Kanab to obtain one of the 10 permits (for ten people) given each day.

I was there last month. Expect 100 people praying for that permit.

Yup, Las Vegas. It's 5.5 hours via St. George to Page.
Going by way of Williams, South Rim GC to Page it's 7.5 hours.
From Sky Harbor (PHX) where the rental cars are more expensive, it's 4.5 hours to Page (skipping Sedona).
