We will be camping near Sedona. We want to visit Joshua Tree national park , Hoover Dam, Great Basin National Park and end at Zion. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Are you driving with your own car from Wisconsin?
After you have seen the desert around the Great Basin NP you may decide not to go into California to see Joshua Tree NP.

There are plenty of Joshua trees in the Mojave National Preserve and several other places including Nevada.
When you go to Hoover dam go through the security checkpoint and drive across the dam to the AZ side. Park in the second or third parking lot (free). On the way back out, stop at the parking lot for the trail to the new high bridge. There is a walkway on the dam side of the bridge. The apex of the bridge and the state line are marked on the walkway about 25 feet apart.

You say you are camping near Sedona . . . How many days before or after your stay in Sedona do you have for all these other places you want to visit?

Suggest you research Great Basin Ntl Park some more. Not my best park. I'd skip it in favor of other parks. It is more of a hiking park.
Recommend Death Valley instead.
The absolute best book on Death Valley is:
"The Explorer's Guide to Death Valley National Park" by T. Scott Bryan and Betty Tucker-Bryan. Available on Amazon.com
The e-book version is only $10.00. Less than a road kill lunch

What time of year are you planning this trip?

How much time do you have, excluding the time from WI to/from the southwest?

Are you planning to not go to Grand Canyon between Sedona and Hoover Dam?

Death Valley would be great, except in the summer.

Use one of the mapping sites, like mapquest or google maps and put in the sites you want to visit in order and get a sense of how to rearrange them to get the most time in the parks/towns and least driving.
