Hi,
Your choices are limited.
The town right outside the east entrance is called Lee Vining. There are two or three motels there, inlcuding a small Best Western.
Other towns like Mammoth or June Lake are going to put you further away from the park but also have accomodations.
Further up into the mountains on the way to the park entrance is the Tioga Pass Resort (http://www.tiogapassresort.com). I have never stayed here but have stopped for snacks. It is rustic but in a spectacular setting. I seem to remember they might only book by the week?
Also Tuolomne Meadows has tent cabins that you could reserve through the Yosemite NP website, if any are available.

If you are coming in from the northwest along C-49, I stayed last week at the Gold Country Inn in Angels Camp. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, no-frills for $48.50/night (commercial rate). I also stayed at the Columbia Inn just off C-49 in Columbia and I would not go back there if they paid me.
A little further south, closer to C-120, there is a Best Western in downtown Sonora that looked good from the outside-never stayed there. There are historic (1850's) hotels in Jackson, Angels Camp, Columbia, Sonora, and Coulterville that you might want to check out if you are looking for quaint lodgings.
I hope you have a wonderful trip. I love visiting Yosemite and Gold Country.
