Best NW mountain w/dog ? Baker, Ranier, Hurricane Ridge or Crater L

Jump to last reply

Only have a day to explore one of the stupendous spots above, but will have our dog along. We know dogs are pretty limited w/re to access in national parks -- but hear still there may be some worthwhile scenic trail at Ranier?
We have been almost 20 yrs ago & stayed at Paradise...but unfort again, no pups allowed in much of any lodging in these areas...
and yet, where we head next is super with dogs, so she'll be making the journey with us for that part in the San Juan' islands to unwind,

Just have an extra day to get to try something different & was wondering esp about Baker as it's the only one listed above that we've never been close to.
(Did just glimpse crater lake even longer ago...and have done Olympic a few times)

Also this will be later in Aug & longing for a little green if any left or wildflowers?
(or perhaps all dried out even in the NW too this summer, like in Nor Cal?)

Would so appreciate tips as can't find much on Baker esp -- favorite hike? Any lodging options closer to it or better to base selves in La Connor for 2 nites & just do a day trip up to Baker? Doubt many spots would let us do only one night anyway as hitting on a Friday.

If you have any suggestions for fave area to lodge or hike in any of the above plz do share. Would be ever so appreciative! :-).
We don't have camping equipment so that is not an option I'm afraid. Thx again!
