Going to Oahu this summer and staying in a hotel with a kitchette. I am looking for a excellent farmers market close to waikiki that is open on a monday or tues morning, so that I may stock up on lots of fresh local fruits. Reasonably priced too. Thx

The main farmers market in Waikiki is on Saturday mornings at Kapiolani Community College. There's a teeny one (just a couple tables) that happens at the Community Center on Tues & Fri mornings.
I know it doesn't sound as romantic, but I buy nice tropical fruits at either the Food Pantry grocery store on Kuhio or the ABC Stores.

Oops, here's one more option:
"Henry's Place" at 234 BeachWalk is a local fruit stand (shop).
Here's more info on the farmer's markets on Oahu: http://hfbf.org/markets/
Unfortunately, the other markets around town are not Farm Bureau sanctioned, so there's no guarantee the produce you'll find is "local." I agree with Suze, the Food Pantry (if you really want to stay only in Waikiki) is probably a good bet.
aloha Melisssa!
The other thing about Food Pantry is they even have some of the tropical fruits ready-to-eat. A 1/2 papaya or thick slices of pineapple packaged with a fork and napkin!
