any preferences on these 2 Las Vegas Hotels? Or, any other recommendations?
I'm planning on going to Vegas, 1st time, mid - late October 2009. Planning to stay 3 nights, hope to do the Hoover dam tour, possibly see a show?
Weather in October?
I'm not a gambler, but, just want to see Vegas once.
thanks for info

Trip Ideas
I have stayed at the Bellagio and enjoyed it very much.
Definitely Bellagio. Beautiful hotel with a perfect location on the Strip.
I have not stayed at the signature but have stayed at the Bellagio and am a fan. I have been in the MGM and would choose Bellagio over it... enjoy your time!
Oh sorry - weather in October has always been nice when I have been...
Bellagio. Check smartervegas.com I believe they are running a promotion on discounted rooms through November.
Your choice for a hotel in Las Vegas totally depends on what type of experience you are looking for, the Bellagio and Signature at MGM are entirely different. If you are looking for the glitz and glamour of Vegas then the Bellagio is a must, beautifully over the top! Signature is located behind the MGM Grand, very secluded and quiet, they are residence style units beautifully done, full kitchens, living area, bedroom and patio but definitely not a strip type hotel. That stated also know that the MGM is connected to the towers so you can be in the action of the strip within minutes, they have a collection of good restaurants right there also. Have fun!
I love the Sig! Easily my favorite hotel in Vegas...it is just a bit off the strip, but I don't find it a bad location at all. Rooms at Signature are a good step up from regular Bellagio rooms -- it all depends whether a great room or being at center strip is more important to you...
thanks everyone!
Just thought I'd mention, we are staying at Bellagio Nov 1 for 4 nights. After a few emails back and forwards we got a Deluxe Lake View room for 133USD for the Sat/sun and 196USD for the mon/tues. Pretty happy with that. Their website is showing $189 & $279.
Have you thought about the Wynn or Encore..by far the best hotel on the strip..

The fountains at Bellagio are not to be missed. Enjoy drinks at sunset at an outdoor bar... or better yet, grab an outdoor table at Olives. Unforgetable! As for the hotel, be sure to get a fountain view room, and tune your TV to the fountain channel. You won't want to leave.
