Beach blanket babylon SF

Has anyone seen this show? Is it appropriate for 10/12 year olds? They have a matinee that allows children. Just curious if anyone saw it and loved it or hated it and what exactly is it????

I've seen it a number of times and it is a lot of fun. I have no idea if they clean it up for those matinees, as normally parts of it are pretty raunchy. For example the "witch doctor" with a huge banana between his legs, and the very "gay" French Poodles who also display male "members".
It's a silly story of a journey of Snow White searching around the world for love. She is accompanied by a variety of people, a small and very talented cast who become famous people she meets. Expect usuals like Barbra Streisand and Tina Turner, and probably the Clintons, among many others. There are short and fast songs mostly from the 50's and 60's, some newer, and some with new words, all performed live which supposedly have something to do with the "plot".
There are also elaborate costumes and huge hats or headpieces. The finale is spectacular -- particularly the hats. The Christmas show is even more fun.

We loved it. Saw an evening show and told to bring identification -- had to be over 21 to get in, so I imagine the afternoon shows are a little less risque.

Thanks Guys, I bought tickets for the matinee. I am sure that it will be a fun show. I bought rear balcony and normally I would buy better seats, but the gentleman on the phone said the seats aren't bad and to get there early to get a good seat. I can see now by previous posts that it seems we will be packed in... Oh well. I am sure it will be fun. Something different!

Oh and Budman, I have a mini budman my brother gave me years ago. It is like a stein. So classy! I love it. I have to pull that out and have a beer in that thing! It is simply collecting dust!

I've seen it three times from various locations and prefer the cheap seats on the main floor. It is hilarious.

The venue isn't that big and there really aren't any "bad" seats. I've seen it four times and am sure you will enjoy it.
