My mom went to New Orleans last summer and said that the food was fantastic at Commander's Palace. I think she had bread pudding, but Commander's Palace would serve Bananas Foster too because that is their cuisine. It is an upscale restaurant but it has won many awards for food quality. Enjoy, New Orleans, fun city!

Another option?? Print out the Good Times Guide and use the Cooking school coupon in the Riverwalk Mall. For $15 you get a GREAT lunch- multicourses and banana foster for desert. The menu changes every day- so get there first thing and be flexable and choose a menu that is to your liking. I've gone several times- since it's such a bargain. Highlights are the gumbo, and eggplant sticks. Verify the banana foster desert- it's been the selection everytime I've gone.

I secong kkj's opinion
Brennan's invented the dish, and they make it correctly.
I have eaten their "breakfast at Brennans" and ordered the wines with the courses.
By the time bananas Foster was offered, I had little room left, but the dish was spectacular
