Are you referring to Dowell, MD south of Andrews AFB? Just want to make sure. I think that's going to be tricky. To my knowledge, the closest you can get by train is the Branch Avenue stop on the Green Line of the D.C. Metro. Starting at BWI (free shuttle bus outside baggage claim to train station), take either Amtrak or the local commuter MARC train (M thru F only) to Union Station then take the Metro red line to Gallery Pl-Chinatown and transfer to the green line which ends at Branch. There may be a bus but I am not so familiar with their schedules--I hope someone with more info will chime in.
A look at the Amtrak, MARC and Metro maps may help with the visual. Good luck!
Yes, that's the Dowell. Thanks for the info
Forgot to mention that it's the Penn Line for the MARC train.
Long story short, about once year DH made a similar trek to see family in Golden Beach (they picked him up at Branch).
You can also get to the DC Metro using the B30 bus. It runs every 40 min. to the Greenbelt station on the Metro, $6.10 exact change each way. Pick it up at airport doors 1 or 17; follow signs to Regional bus. There are a number of information desks at the airport if you have questions on the B30.
Amie
I'm very grateful to you both. Thankyou
