Thinking of using Bali Hai Weddings in Kauai?

Why don't you keep on looking....

I suggest you take a look at this: http://www.bbb.org/hawaii/business-reviews/wedding-consultants/bali-hai-weddings-in-kapaa-hi-30000485/complaints

This is exactly the same thing that happened to us.

The booking for our wedding was very easy and seemed like it was going to be amazing. Upon arrival to Kauai, we contacted the woman who was supposed to be showing us around. We were supposed to meet her and follow her to a few beaches and choose a location. She did not have a car and we wound up having to pick her up and take her around. Not to mention her demeanor was very suspect. Not a good first impression. After we chose a beach we made time arrangements and plans with the photographer and officiant. The officiant showed up on time, the photographer did not. Her name is Maile, and if you are thinking of booking with Bali Hai Weddings, ask if she's still their photographer. DO NOT DO IT. I have crap for photos. Thank goodness for photoshop because the only editing that was done was 2 photos that were in black & white.

But I should be thankful I even have photos because I didn't think we would be getting any. The owner of BHW (Bali Hai Weddings) could not get ahold of her own photographer. For FIVE months. I was given a refund of my money for the photos, but about a week later, the photographer magically gets her act together and send us our photos. After looking over the photos and being extremely disappointed, BHW has the audacity to ask me to pay the full amount. Which I do, because it's services rendered. But very begrudgingly. I guess my only vindication will be trying to warn everyone on every review site that if they value their special day, do not use Bali Hai Weddings.

just. don't. do it.
