bakeries/delivery/Portland, OR

My daughter is a Freshman at Reed College. This is her first year away from home for celebrating her birthday. I would like to have a yummy birthday cake delivered. Any recommendations of bakeries, and do any deliver?

The Bakery Bar makes awesome birthday cakes. A bit pricey, and I'm not sure if they deliver:

When is her b-day? I'll be in Portland Apr 5-9 and I sing really loud. Maybe I could get Scarlett to join me and we could go really make DD's day:

Happy birthday to You

Mommy and Daddy love you

I guess I should also answer your question!

You can check out Rose's at:

http://www.rosesrestaurant.net/

They definitely deliver and have nice cakes!

You can also check out Beaverton Bakery but I am not sure if they deliver.

You can also check with DeliveredDish to see if they will pick up from a location not on their list and deliver it:

Good luck!

Beaverton Bakery is great! They did our wedding years ago, and we have had anniversary cakes done there since then. I am pretty sure they do not deliver, but it never hurts to call and ask.

Hi Seremarcus,
I'm from Portland and agree that JaCaivas is phenomenal. There is also a new cupcake store in the Pearl District (trendy new converted wharehouse area) called St. Cupcake that has all kinds of crazy delicious cupcakes. As a recent college grad who knows, she'll be happy to get whatever you send her!

I don't think they do, Pam, probably because they couldn't meet the demand if they did. I've never been there when it wasn't just jammed.

So, seremarcus, we haven't heard back from you. What did you go with and was it a hit?

Thanks for all the great ideas. I am going with Delivered Dish. I told her and her roommate to order any birthday dinner from there and it will be delivered, along with dessert. This way she gets a special dinner besides dorm food.
