B & B's In Sedona
I am trying to decide on a B & B in Sedona area and would appreciate HELP from anyone that has stayed recently in the Sedona area. We are most interested in clean, comfortable and moderately priced. I have checked into various listings, but I am surprised at the nearly $300. or more nightly cost. We prefer out of the town area. Someone suggested Jermone as it is what Sedona was like before it become very commercial. Maybe we should stay at a hotel, instead?? Any ideas? We will have already been to Bryce, Zion, and the Grand Canyon so hiking is out the door is not necessary. THANKS!!

Does it have to be a B&B?
There are tons of great moderate hotels for around $100 or less that have free breakfast, clean new rooms and views..
La Quinta Inn is a great solid place for around $90.
Sedona Rouge resort and spa is really nice and is usually around $159 a night.
BW Inn of Sedona is renovated and with free breakfast for around $119 a night and has great patios with red rock views.
Garland Lodge is a lovely place and higher priced but very nice.
I would advise NOT staying in Jerome but go for the day.
Jerome is not what Sedona used to be..its an old mining town filled with a lot of old hippies with galleries and the town is funky but after a couple of hours your done with the place.imho.
Sedona is stunning place to stay with lots of great hiking and some pretty good restaurants.
Expedia.com is a good idea to find out prices and they are pretty spot on..just go to hotels and then plug in Sedona.
We go to Sedona 2-3 times a year and we rarely venture into the town..

I have to ditto kusucat's comment on Garland's Oak Creek Lodge. We're headed there May 3rd for two nights. While the prices are higher, it includes breakfast and dinner in the cost. The Lodge is located up Oak Creek Canyon (a short drive to Sedona) and you cross the creek to get there. The food is wonderful and people go back year after year. This will be our 2nd year. Very peaceful - no TV's or telephones in the room. Enjoyable to socialize at the bar before dinner with others staying at the lodge.

THANK YOU for your information!! I appreciate your help. I looked up your suggested places, and must say that Garland's Oak Creek looks intriguing! Not sure where we will stay, yet, but have a while to decide as we will not be in Sedona for another year! We have planned ahead as we wanted to be sure that we could get into various National Park lodging as it books a year in advance. I am ready to pack and leave now, but will have to wait. Thanks, again.
