We are traveling Easter week with our 14 yr. old nephew from Phoenx to Grand Canyon on Easter Sunday. Tues morning we leave for Zion. Someone told me there is a slightly longer but very scenic route to Zion. But we can't seem to figure it out. We're staying Tues night at the lodge in Zion.
We leave Zion Wed for Page and then will do the Glen Canyon float trip Thurs and Fri am the Antelope Canyon jeep trip. and then head back to Phoenix to flly home. We thought we might go back through Navaho country but were't sure there either. We're going up to Grand Canyon through Sedona, Oak Creek etc.,
Suggestions appresiciated.
Thank you
Jan

It sounds like you are talking abut Alt 89 which is north of Cameron off of Hwy 89. Alt 89 or 89 A goes by Marble Canyon, Jacob Lake and Fredonia before reaching Kanab. It's a high elevation mountain road so check to make sure it's open before you leave the Grand Canyon.

Just to make sure you know. Your route will pass right by the Horseshoe Bend trailhead, the Best Dam View and you'll be only a couple of miles from Antelope Canyon.
In my opinion the "must sees".
