We are looking to get out of NYC for a few days midweek (next week). Haven't been to AC for more than 10 years. We are looking to just relax, sleep in, stroll the boardwalk, eat decent meals (not too overpriced - read: not more than typical NYC restaurants), try gambling, maybe see a show. Most casinos seem to be in the $69(trump plaza) to $149(caesars) price range. So the question: which casino would you stay in? Would you stay on the Boardwalk or in the Marina? The Marina seems to have "nicer" properties for same price, such as Borgata - basing that on viewing websites.
Thanks.

It depends on what you want to do.
If you stay in one of the marina casinos you are pretty much stuck there unless you want to drive.
Given that you want to stroll the Boardwalk, I would stay at the cheapest of Bally's, Caesars and Trump Plaza. They are in the center of the action with shopping, beach bars and nightclubs all within a few blocks.
Thinking of going to concert in Atlantic city late August. I am looking for flights now. IS PHL the closest major airport?
Nongamblers, will probably rent car and drive from airport....hotel suggestions? Concert is to be held in Mark G. Etess Arena.
You can check for flights in Philly and Newark, NJ. Newark will be about a 3 hour drive to AC, and Philly about 2 with traffic.
If you fly into NYC there is now a train to AC out of Penn Station so that might be another option.
Okay...thanks. Going to check into train option in case we don't want to drive.
