Borgata...without question. Newest and nicest by far.

Resorts opened a new tower last fall to compete with Borgata. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. Bathrooms are huge and well appointed. Biggest plus, you can easily walk to all the other Boardwalk casinos in good weather and there are indoor connections to Taj Mahal and Showboat.

Borgata is, IMHO, the nicest of the casinos in AC. We were there at New Years Eve and the hotel and casino staff work efficiently so you don't realize all that is going on around you.

The rooms are decorated subtly, the restaurants offer some very good dinners and its just very well done.

Atlantic City is a real pit. Isn't there any place else you'd rather go?

Borgata is probably your best bet. Nice rooms and good food options.
The new Tower at Harrah's was really nice when it opened. I haven't been back there since though. The Tropicana just opened a new tower (the Havana Tower). A casino rep told me the rooms in the new tower are just like the rooms in the other towers - only they are new. They have better rates than the Borgata, but the rooms aren’t as fancy. The Borgata is isolated. You can’t just walk to another casino like you can with the casinos on the Boardwalk. If you are just there for a day or two, that might not be an issue.
I'll going to AC in March and I'll be staying at the Tropicana.
