We're taking a road trip (Austin to Orlando) in a month or so, driving I-10 most of the way.

On the return, we'd like to head perhaps up to the Atlanta area before returning to Austin.

The Tripadvisor reviews of the aquarium are very mixed; actually, mostly to the negative: too expensive, confusing to find way around, not enough fish, etc.

If anyone has been there recently and has an opinion (yea or nay), I'd sure appreciate reading about your experience.

I wouldn't make a trip detour to see it but if I was in Atlanta I would go again.

I enjoyed it last year when I was there. As an alternative or in addition to, look at Stone Mountain Park.

We went last year and really enjoyed our visit. Would definitely go again. Go early in the day, though, because it got quite a bit more crowded as the day went on.

If you're in Atlanta, the Aquarium is definitely worth visiting, as are several other attractions. A board search on Atlanta here should yield good info on such options.

I had dinner tonight in NYC who visited it during his last visit - and he LOVED it (an unsolicited comment BTW)
