Aston Maui Hill

Has anyone stayed at this condo? I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for bars/nightlife that is walkable from there. Keep in mind i am from NY so used to walking. Is it safe to walk to these places at night?

The property is on a hill across the highway (the main, no only, drag) from the beach in South Kihei, quite close to the Wailea "border." It should be safe day or night. There's plenty around, at least north of there. Kihei reminds me of a typical beach town, bars, eateries, t-shirt and tatoo emporia, dive shops, grocery stores... of any beach town that grew spontaneously, without the genius of a master planner. Can't give you specific recommendations about bars-not my thing. Very good beaches, e.g., the 3 Kams, and south starting at Keawakapu. Wouldn't swim north of Kam I (was a shark attack at Cove Park about a year ago-the water's not clear north). The Aston has a very good reputation for managing condominiums, such as this one. We were quite pleased with our experience with Aston in Waikiki. You'll miss a lot of the beauty of Maui if you do not rent a car.

Thanks - its a family trip so we will have car for the days..but i was thinking if i wanted to get away at night..and maybe go clubbing or go for some drinks walking and maybe a cab home would be the best option. Any cool bars/clubs for the late 20s/early 30s set?

NYGUY773, there is not much nightlife in Kihei or Wailea. All the after dark action is in Kaanapali and Lahaina (40 minute drive).

Visit the nearby resorts. Grand Wailea and Four Seasons both have nice bars, don't they?

They have beautiful bars, but I think NYGUY773 is looking for a little more action than sitting around sipping on mai tais while watching the waves and the stars until all hours of the night like 8 or 9 pm !
