"Aston" condos in Maui? others?

Hello -

I am looking into various "Aston" condos in Maui. Anybody out there stayed in a good or bad one before? Or any other condos? Looking for something nice and close to a beach.

Thanks!

Aston Kaanapali Shores is a wonderful condo, it is actually in Honokawai. It is only a very few miles from (north) Lahaina. We will be going back for our third year in a row. They have beautiful grounds, their beach is narrow but still nice. The rooms are very nicely appointed and clean. The Beach Club restaurant on the premises has excellent food and reasonably priced. Search for this location at the Aston site.

Aston Kaanapali Shores is a nice property but the beach in front of it is very poor and not very swimmable because of a coral reef. The Whaler, right in the middle of Kaanapali Beach, is not quite as nice but the location is much better and the beach is far better.

Aston Kaanapali Shores. We've stayed there twice. We had a 1 bedroom oceanview room with full kitchen. I would stay there again. Nice pool, outdoor restaurant. Grocery store located across the street. They even accept the Entertainment rate if you have a Entertainment card.

The Mahana was nice. It's next to Maui Kai, then Embassy then Kaanapali Shores, all to the north, nothing for a mile or so to the south. It's about as close to the water as you can get ! See www.themahana.com
We got a good deal thru' aavacations.com last year.

I've stayed at the Aston Papakea Resort and we really enjoyed them. Next to the Kaanapali Shores. The Papakea is a condo property. No restaurants onsite. They do offer Barbecue grills. We used them. They do go fast nightly. We stayed in a 1 bedroom condo with an oceanview. Has living room, kitchen, small dining area. I would stay there again. Good value for the price.

Aloha WC,

I also liked the Papakea, but no beach there.
