Arriving in Jackson, where to pick up supplies?

We are flying into Jackson in Sept and visiting Yellowstone, driving Beartooth, then finishing up with GTNP. Where can we pick up groceries, ice chest, etc.?

No WalMart in Jackson, so what is one to do? ;-)

Thanks!

Just read on a very old post that there is a KMart and an Albertson's in Jackson. Both went out of business in our area, so does anyone know if these are still open in Jackson? If not, any other suggestions?

There's an Albertson's at 105 Buffalo Way; there's a K-Mart off Rte 189/191

Are the prices about the same in the Jackson KMart and Albertson's as elsewhere? It's a pretty expensive area, so we're wondering if we should pack can openers, cork screw, etc, or buy it all and the ice chest there after we arrive.

The ice chest is about $3.50. We packed a swiss army knife in our luggage, which had the opener and corkscrew. If you don't have such a creature, it seems you can put these openers in your luggage-not your carryon. Also, after purchasing ice at Albertson's, we found that everywhere we stayed, both in YNP and GTNP had plenty of free ice with which to fill up the cooler every day. The nights are cold enough that you don't need to worry about temps at that point. I live in the Boston area, so my prices are high. I can't compare Albertson's in Jackson to where you live, sorry. Remember all-when you exit the airport and come to the stop sign, turn right (south) to go through jackson. Albertson's is at the far end of this colorful town.

Thanks, soxgirl. My prices are probably comparable to Boston's or a little less. For $3.50 I am guessing your got the styrofoam ice chest. Thanks for the suggestions, soxgirl. You have been a great help!
