Arriving from JFK

My family of 5 adults will be arriving at JFK at around 3pm on a Monday. What will be the best way to go to 69th Lane in Queens?

Well with that address it sounds like you are visiting relatives - so I would ask them the best way to get there. If by any chance this is a motel - it's in the middle of nowhere - and I'm not at all sure why you would be staying there. (And, if so I would ask them how to get there.)

If you go to hopstop.com it will tell you the choices for getting between any 2 places in the city - but you would need an exact address - not just 69th Lane.

There are a very limited number of 5-passenger taxis. You should take one of those or arrange for a car service in advance. It will probably not be much cheaper (if at all) to take a shared-van transfer.

Also, you have to define what you mean by "best" - are you looking for easiest, quickest, least expensive??? These are often mutually exclusive.

Best is to have a limo driver pick you up as you exit the baggage claim area and drive you right to your destination but that will be your most expensive option. You could take a taxi but that too might be over your budget. You could take a series of trains/buses but that will take the longest amount of time and may be inconvenient if you have lots of luggage.

ARe you sure you have the right address, I've never heard of a Lane in NYC, and 69th is probably at St or Avenue, so you might re-check the address.

Let's not get the OP confused with information that is not being requested---particularly when our responses are incorrect.

There are indeed "Lanes" in Queens. There are also "Places". These all run parallel to the "Streets". "Avenues" in Queens tend to run perpendicular to the same-named "Street".

There is a 69th Lane in Queens - but sort of in the middle of nowhere - that's why I assume they were staying with relatives. It it's a hotel - it must be a JFK airport hotel that isn't near the airport or ?

If the OP would provide more info on what it is - people might be able to give more info. (If you are planning to tour NYC from this address that is a really bad idea unless it's free.)

When I go to maps.google.com and put in 69 Lane, Queens, NY I get a location that's nowhere near a subway station so, assuming you all have luggage and are normal sized adults,...the best way for you to get there with 5 people IMO is to order a car service like dial7.com. They will send a van and will ask you to phone them when you're ready to leave the airport. If you don't have a cell phone, there are courtesy phones near baggage claim you can use.

i hope you're staying with friends or family who will be able to help you get around from this location. If you've rented something there as a place to stay for sightseeing in NYC, this is an extremely inconvenient location.
