I am trying to come up with a vacation plan close to home (NE Ok) this year that will still be fun for my teen/young adult children. I am thinking maybe a lake vacation with boating, parasailing, maybe a place that has some hiking, what about ATV rental? Where could we go in without breaking the bank that would be active and fun?? thanks!
Arkansas/Texas/Missouri/Kansas parasailing other active ideas?

Buffalo River, but only if the waterfalls are running. checkout www.buffaloriver.com You might even want to do the ziplinning. We really enjoy the cabins there. This is the upper Buffalo, which I think is the best part. Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas is nice as well, with some options. Mount Magazine is another. Get Tim Ernst waterfall book, he has 100's of waterfalls. I have done about half of the hikes in the book and most of them are really nice.
I imagine you have already been to Branson plento of times, but it is a fairly inexpensive vacation/trip.
