Yes, the only wine area I know of is Sonoita, SE of Tucson (near Patagonia). That is where Callaghan is. It's a nice area and I know there are several wineries and they have tastings. None were that impressive, I must say.

I live in the Sonoita/Elgin area where the vineyards are located and I agree with tucsonartist. The vineyards are in Elgin -- mostly just tasting rooms.(Take Rt. 10E to Exit 281, Rt. 83) I think Callaghan has the best wines and nicest setting, but do call ahead. I believe that in the summer they are only open on weekends.
You might make your kids happy by combining your vineyard visit with a tour of Kartchner Caverns -- make reservations beforehand, there are generally tickets available in the summer even a few days ahead, or bring the kids to Tombstone to see the wild and willy West of the cowboy movies --It's kind of a touristy place, but lots of fun for a family.
Have a great trip.
