Are we crazy to go to WDW over Thanksgiving?

Hi - our girls are 3 and 6, and are dying to go to Walt Disney World. We were there off-peak when our 6 year old was 3, so we know what we're getting into with the little one. Main question is this: is Disney such a mob-scene at Thanksgiving that we'll just be frustrated by the crowds? We had a pretty easy time of it when we went mid-week in February (other than the cold).

Any advice is appreciated, especially if you've been there over Thanksgiving weekend. As an FYI - we'd stay at one of the 3 hotels on the monorail for convenience for 4 nights totals.

Thank you!

We went to WDW last Thanksgiving with our older grandsons 6 and 11. It was definately packed and lines were fairly long, but in all fairness, it wasn't too bad. Staying on the monorail is smart too. Just go as early in the day as possible - afternoons get the busiest of course. Just take a deep breath and jump in. For one who does not like the Florida heat, I thought it was a perfect time of the year to be outdoors.

You might try the Disney info board www.disboard.com for all the info that you will need, including attendence numbers for all parts of the year.

I found it incredibly helpful on planning a trip a couple of years ago.

if you google "busiest days at disney world", there is a website that gives a rating on a scale of 1-10 & tells which parks to avoid & which are best. It gives general wait times to be expected. I've checked it out before & found it accurate. I, personally, would avoid the park during Thanksgiving...I know it is one of their peak times and I hate waiting in line 60-90 minutes for one ride...its just not worth it to me.

Do you have any flexibility? My favorite time is between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Most people don't pull their kids out of school at that time, and the weather is usually ideal. Plus they are in the process of decorating for Christmas.
