Are there public busses running up and down Collins Ave. between Sunny Isles and Bal Harbour?

Wondering if you can get along without renting a car for a week's vacation in this area of Miami?

Yes, there are definitely buses running along Collins Ave. You don't need a car.

It would suck big time to have to rely on public transportation staying in that area of town.

South Beach would be easy but not Mid Beach.

You'll spend a fortune on cabs or eat up most of your vacation time waiting for and transferring on buses.

For a city as large as it is, their public transportation has some serious challenges.

Sorry, meant to write that South Beach would be easy but not the northern part of Miami Beach.

But GoTravel, she's wondering only about buses along Collins Avenue. No transfers. Nothing complicated whatsoever. Just about every bus that comes along will take her between the two points she's interested in.

However, kristinelaine, if you want to go anywhere else in the city of Miami, I would NOT recommend relying on the bus system.
