April in Northern Michigan

Will be spending a couple (2) days between Petoskey, Traverse City and Harbor Springs. Any suggestions which would be the best overnight location and any recommendations for that place...? Thanks

is there a reason you are travelling here at this time? It is a little early this far north for beautiful spring days. Soggy and muddy might be more like it. It is a beautiful area.

Hopefully someone can come up with more current recommendations than I might make.

Places to stay? I would reccomend the Park Place in Traverse City or something down by the docks in Harbor springs. I believe Staffords has a place in Harbor Springs. there are probably a couple hundred choices of places to stay between TC hand HS.

My husband and I stayed at the Bayshore Resort in Traverse City a few summers ago.
Nice place- large rooms and jacuzzi suites.
You may also want to search the Michigan

You don't say what you are looking for. Charming, fancy, B&B, major hotel, cheap, etc.

Ditto on the Bayshore - it's a great place to stay. There's a restaurant called Rick's on the water near the marina - great food; probably prettier in the summer than this time of year.

I've heard that the Bay Harbor Resort in Petoskey is really nice. Girlfriend says it's like staying at the Grand Hotel on Mackinaw Island but cheaper. I can vouch for PArk PLace in downtown Traverse. Cute, historic hotel in a great location off the main drag but in the middle of the city. Walking distance to bars and restaurants.
