Apple Orchard Inn - Durango

We recently spent the night at Apple Orchard Inn in Durango, CO. and wanted to share this special place with you. The inn came highly recommended [from friends that have stayed many times and are quite demanding] and I have a concur, what a treasure!

This is a beautiful inn in a lovely setting. It is decorated perfectly: the guest rooms are spacious and comfortable and they are decorated to please both the eye and the soul. The bathroom was sparkling clean.

The living room was warm and inviting with a stone fireplace roaring on a cold day.

We were made to feel welcome by Celeste when we stopped in a few days before our stay [we live about an hour away and were planning on staying the night after a concert, to avoid a dark drive home]. She showed us around [so we got to see most of the rooms] and her pride in her home was evident. She made us feel like we were in a friend's home with warm cookies and easy conversation. We couldn't wait to return for our stay!

We were met by Celeste with her husband John. We were very comfortable in our room. Our stay was wonderful and the breakfast the next morning was really outstanding. The tables were set to perfection and the views out of the windows in the dining area were breathtaking.

We are planning a stay at Apple Orchard Inn for Valentine's Day. I booked the room 2 days after I got home!

So, if you are going to be in Southwestern Colorado, make a point to stay at the Apple Orchard Inn - you won't be disappointed!
