If you provide more specifics people can help.
If you mean short-term (less than 30 day) rental - that's illegal and you simply shouldn;t get involved due to the number of scams.
If you mean longer term sublet - or rental for a year or longer - how long, what size apt, what budget and what area are you looking at (or where will you be working or whatever).

Rentals of less than 30 days are generally not allowed but there are plenty of suite style hotels that provide the same sort of space (affinia.com, beaconhotel.com, nycsalisbury.com for starters). There are also bed & breakfasts that rent the equivalent of an apt. like www.chelsealodgesuites.com , west-eleventh.com , www.wymanhouse.com , jacksbandb.com
