Anza Borrego, CA

Jump to last reply

Hearing that February is not a good time to visit San Diego, we're now thinking of mid-March for 2 weeks. Actually will only spend a day or two in SD (want to see zoo and some museums) and then head to Anza Borrego and Borrego Springs to stay. Posts on Fodors are 6 years old, so hope someone can give some newer info.

Any comments on places to stay? The good, the bad, the ugly. Also wondering if about 5 days would be too long to spend there. Would plan to site see, do short, slow walks and soak up the scenery. Hopefully flowers will be blooming.

From there would like to head to Julian. Has anyone stayed there before? Again, all comments appreciated.

Finally head out to coast, near Carlsbad. Stay somewhere on the coast for a few days and then return to SD for flight home.
