Anyone stayed at the Maswik north in the Grand Canyon?

I have made the decision to spend time in the Grand Canyon. The only place that sounds decent and has a cabin (I think it is a cabin) is the Maswik North. I have never heard of it. It does say that it is near the rim (1/4 mile). I guess some would consider that near. Has anyone out there stayed there or know anything about it? Thanks.

I stayed at Maswik Lodge, I don't remember anything "north"-related. It has 6 buildings, maybe one of them is north from others? It's very close to the rim, perfect location on the shuttle stops (2 stops). The rooms are fine, nothing outstanding, but not bad. Simple food place in the main building.

I don't think Maswik is a cabin facility. We stayed there a couple of years ago and it was more a motel-type facility. Nothing special, but clean. Cafeteria was fine.

I stayed here last spring - it is just a hop skip an jump close to the rim, but you aren't being looked in on by hordes of tourists like you would be in the bright angel cabins. Maswik is not cabins, but lodges/hotel rooms - like the previous posters mentioned. They were clean, but not anything special. We had a little balcony and the room was pretty large. The cafeteria was fine, but you can also walk over to El Torvar or Bright Angel if you want to eat in more atmospheric locations.
