We are hoping to go to a Gallery 63 auction next month and see the cast of Auction Kings. It looks fun and sometimes we are watching at home we see something we want to buy. We are curious how early we need to get there to get a seat. Any experiences?
Anyone gone to an "Auction Kings" taping?

A phone call to the gallery should tell you most reliably. I see a lot of dealers and customers I know in the audience, but I won't be in Atlanta for another few weeks. Enjoy if you do attend!
We called the gallery. They advised us ot come and register the day before but then said just to the auction when you like.
We may be on TV! The production crew asked if we would like to be interviewed. It was interesting talking to the crew.
As a bonus the country star Clay Walker was on hand to sing a song and auction fan packages benefiting his charity foundation. Have to admit that I'm not usually a country fan but he was good.
All of the staff featured on TV acted just like they do on TV. I guess they are true to themselves. Paul was a nut. At one point he tossed a Steuben ice bucket in the air and the audience gasped. Cindy pretended to pose like a Playboy bunny on the back of a couch.
Pretty good entertainment for free.
Some tips:
Be there early. They suggested 8:30 a.m. for the 11 a.m. auction. We got great seats but would have still gotten a seat if we showed at 10 a.m.
Children are not supposed to be admitted, but if they do attend, a parent must sign a release form.
They are OK with outside food and beverages, but have a good snack bar.
