There is a Gulf Shores Resort....pretty nice; great beach...the condo accommodations are a little small, but otherwise ok. And there are tons and tons of other rentals (mostly condos also individual homes) along the beach. Do a web search for Gulf Shores accommotdations, (w/no typos!) also for Orange Beach, Alabama... .you'll get tons of info, I'm sure.
Gulf Shores is great fun, but alot of people from Louisiana have started going to Perdido Key, Fla.
It's not too far from gulf shores and all i've heard are wonderful things about it. I get the impression it's not as clutered as Gulf Shores. It's worth checking out. Have fun!**PS- If you like to shop, go to Foley, Al. It's about 20-30 mins north of Gulf shores and has TONS of great outlet stores (Ralph Lauren, Off-Fifth, Talbots, etc.) You won't have trouble getting there from whereever you are, everyone in the southern half of the U.S. knows about this place!
