Anyone been to Busch Gardens?

I am going to BG in April and was wondering which hotel is good the Best Western or the Holiday Inn. I have never been to BG is there alot of rides? Will it take one or two days to see in full. Thanks Kay.

Busch gardens is one of the better days out in both mine and my teenage sons opinions. we have just booked a stay at the Best Western in April but have not stayed there before. Other hotels near BG have been ok but not good enough to wish to rush back to, maybe this time.Yes there are a fair few rides but 1 full day should be enough, but I read somewhere you can get an annual pass for same cost as a day pass, which we will look for. If you have smaller kids with you they will also enjoy the zoo as well as the kiddy rides.

Are you going to the Busch Gardens in Fla. or in Williamsburg?

We went to Williamsburg a few years ago and found BG disappointing, at least compared with Disney. It was fun, but only one day's worth.

Busch Gardens is a lot of fun. It combines some great roller coasters (they get a new one about every 2 years) with wildlife. The problem with it is that it is not located in the best part of Tampa and doesn't have the luxury of having all of the resorts like Disney. If you have a car, I'd recommend staying in the Westshore area of Tampa and driving about 15-20 min. to BG. The Westshore area is very central and has a much better selection of hotels.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is great! They have some of the best roller coasters around, and the park is beautiful. The rides are much better than the Magic Kingdom.

Busch Gardens in Williamsburg is a great theme park. Well landscaped, great rides and close to Colonial Williamsburg, Water Country and outlet shopping. So much to do in that area! You can buy a multiple day pass that allows you to go to both Busch Gardens and Water Country. We found this convenient last summer when a quick thunderstorm came up in the late afternoon while we were at Water Country (but passed by quickly )so we just changed clothes and went to Busch Gardens for the rest of the night. Could do this anyway since Water Country closes at sunset and BG is open til 10. If you just go for one day there is a Burger King across the street from BG's entrance that always has coupons for $ off the one day pass. Hope you have fun. My family always enjoys it there.

I love Busch Gardens in Tampa. My teenagers, my husband and I, all enjoy ourselves when we go. Have fun and plan on spending one FULL day there.

I've been to BG in Tampa with my family, my kids were yougn at the time. We really liked it and the kids had a great time. It's not as big and ellaborate as Disney but that's part of the charm. I can't speak for hotels because I stay with family. 1 day should be enough.
