I have been looking online at transportation options from SFO into the city. There seem to be several different shuttle companies but when you read the reviews they all have more negative reviews than positive. We did take Super Shuttles last time we were in San Francisco (5 years ago) and found it took forever to get to our hotel, as several other passengers were dropped off first. I guess they all will be similar in that regard.
Any other options?
Any shuttle reccomendations from SFO to our hotel in Lombard St

Do you have a real problem with BART? http://www.sanfrancisco.net/bart
Your other options are also shown on the linked website.
BART is not really a great option to a hotel on Lombard St. because you'd have to take a taxi from BART to the hotel.
How many people in your group? I think a taxi from the airport makes the most sense if you have even two people -- the taxi will be about $45.00. If the shuttle is $15 per person, it gets up there to where a taxi makes sense.
I don't think that BART is an option, I just wondered if anyone had used some of the shuttles and whether they thought one firm was better than the other. Also considering a taxi.
I don't like any of the shuttles since Super Shuttle basically bought them all and they changed from a geographic model to a who's here now model. So you could (and likely will) be driven all over the city to get to your hotel.
I also don't like taxis , as they have one hour to get back to the airport to skip the line so many of them drive like madmen,.
Personally I like Execucar, Super Shuttle's car service. It's $65, maybe less w/ a AAA or senior discount, and you never have to wait long. Plus it's a fixed price and you get a nice shiny towncar.
A bit cheaper is BlueShuttle, a private shuttle that just takes you not a group. I've used them several times and they're great. http://www.blueshuttle.com/
About $55 I think?
