antique shows
This past weekend we went to the Warrenton antique show. Still can't believe it's so huge. Free to get in, $4 parking. ... More info: http://www.antiqueweekend.com/indexmain.html
Warrenton, Round Top and the other small country towns are maybe an hour or so north of Houston.
Does anyone else go to yearly, large antique shows? If so, where?
Thanks!

I have been wanting to do Brimfield (MA), which is actually three times a year now. Has anyone done it? We frequent the Alameda Point Antiques & Collectibles Fair (Bay area, CA) which is pretty big, but monthly. Also love the monthly Rose Bowl flea market(Pasadena, CA). I haven't been to any of the yearlies and I probably shouldn't. My house looks like a museum as it is.

I've done the Warrenton/Round Top show probably half a dozen times. It's amazing! I have quite a few treasures I found there. A couple of years ago my mom was traveling all over the US in her motorhome. When she got to the NE US, my sister and I flew up to meet her and we went to the Brimfield show. It was very similar to the Warrenton/Round Top show. Just as incredible as far as the number of vendors and the amount of "stuff". Some of the vendors go to both shows.

My friend and I ("best girlfriends" ever since early high school) go to a huge outdoor antique show every spring in Clarence, NY, near Buffalo. It's held on the grounds of a permanent antique market encompassing a number of buildings, so once the outdoor part gets going it's enormous. We make a long weekend of it - a day and a half at the show, and then we finish off at the outlet mall near the Canadian border. We look forward to it every year.
