Another year, another trip to NYC. What do I do this time?

Jump to last reply

I am going to NYC at the end of the month for another birthday weekend. Does anyone have any recommendations to make it a good one?

Much to my disappointment, there will be no jazz at Lincoln Center that weekend, the Loewes is closed so no Michael Feinstein, and Alvin Ailey has nothing scheduled.

I am hunting for theater tickets. Picnic got good reviews, Nice Work if You Can Get It got okay reviews, and the Mystery of Edward Snood is mixed. Does anyone have anything they'd like to add?

I also want to take advantage of Restaurant Week, but have no idea where to start.

I will continue reading trip reports, but was hoping you old-timers (people who have been here for years and see this post annually) will have some recommendations.

Thanks!

-EM
