Our one-year wedding anniversary is coming up and I was thinking of a weekend trip to Door County. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good place to stay and any suggestions for activities or restaurants?
Any advice is much appreciated!!

Trip Ideas
We went to Door County in Oct about 6yrs ago and many of the restaurants were closed for the season so I hope you will get other responses to see if that was what they also experienced. However, of Door County, Egg Harbor and Fish Creek were our favorites. Perhaps it would be good to check with the Door County Visitor Bureau. Congratulations on your Wedding Anniversary!
Our family has enjoyed Door County for many years. I don't think that as many businesses close at the end of the season as there used to be. Ephraim is the most scenic of the villages, but there's fewer restaurants, etc. We've always enjoyed our stays there, as well as in Sister Bay, where there are more shops and restaurants. Each of the villages has its own charm. Are you interested in staying in a hotel or renting a private home/condo? There are many private listings on VRBO. As the other reply indicates, they have a very active visitor center with many accomodations listed.
J&K... when is your anniv?? We love Door Co in all seasons. Where we stay depends upon what time of year. Winter would be the Homestead Suites. Indoor pool. Walk to restaurants & shops. Love the Mission Grille in Sister Bay for a nice dinner. http://www.doorcounty.com/web/property.asp?propertyId=IL4732&areaId=7&categoryId=2
Sister Bay Bowl is also good for fish fry.
What's your flavor?
