Taking high school junior to look at University of Michigan. Any restaurant suggestions? Like all types of food. Price is not an issue but we will have only casual clothing (no jacket and tie). We will have a car. Thanks!

You can find many restaurants in downtown ann arbor listed on this website restaurantsinannarbor.com
There are several new restaurants and a few that went out of business since last summer.
Pizza House on Church Street is a good choice. You can sit down, have a drink and they have healthy salads in addition to pizza.
Thanks!
Zingerman's Deli is a crowded little delicatessen with great meats, many cheeses and a host of baked goods from their own bakery. They are so popular that the bought the building next door and use it for dinning space.
Pizza House is a casual staple.
Palio on Main Street is a family favorite, more upscale than PH.
A second vote for Zingerman's. Loved it as a college student (when my parents picked up the tab, especially), and love it now for its mail delivery option. Jerusalem Garden was a favorite stop for me, as well. Not too long ago we ate at Monahan's in Kerrytown and liked it.
(Our own high school junior is applying to Michigan, as well. We alumni parents are excited!)
