I'll be in Anchorage next month for a few days. Mostly I will be working but I would appreciate ideas for things of interest (not nightlife) after the workday is done.
Anchorage ideas?

Take a drive south along the Seward Highway, along Turnagain Arm, toward Girdwood.
It will be cold and dark. "After the workday is done" means night time. Are you a photographer? Some good night/snow shots are a possibility. There's night XC skiing along some of the trails in Kincaid Park (20 min. from downtown.)
Otherwise, movies, shopping, cafes, bars, maybe some live theater.
If you have any daylight hours, I highly recommend the Alaska Zoo! They take in injured and orphaned animals and you get a chance to see moose, wolves and bears!
www.anchorage.net will have web site information for what's open.
