Amtrak schedule/pricing comparison website
I have been searching here for hours for a link that I am sure I saw posted here at one time. You could choose which Amtrak train and a date range and it would give you a comparison of prices and availability. It was not at the official Amtrak site.
I am in the early stages of planning a journey by train from Chicago to the west coast. I had done some research a few months ago and thought I had bookmarked that site.
Can anyone help me???
thanks-

The Amtrak system works in "buckets" of tickets for a particular train on a particular day. The sooner you purchase your ticket the better chance you have of geting the lowest price ticket.
As soon as you know the date you want to travel, price the ticket.
To find out if you are in the lowest bucket, price the trip for 6 or 7 days later to see if it is the same fare. If you are riding 4 or more trains, check to see if the 15 day USA Rail Pass will save you money.
Which train? Empire Builder and CA Zephyr have been delayed-cancelled lately by flooding. For latest news call 800USARAIL.

I remembered seeing that link as well. I just spent the better part of two hours looking for it, so I definitely want to share it.
