Amtrak-Need Info

Wife and I are taking the City of New Orleans from Chicago in 1st class sleeper. Need and advice about Amtrak- Is it on time-We're "connecting" from Amtrak in Galesburg, Il,. Any other tidbits appreciated. Thanks
