Amtrak at San Francisco Embarcadero
I'm planning to arrive at one of San Francisco's Amtrak Stations which according to Amtrak's website is at 101 The Embarcadero at Mission Street (near the Ferry Building) and will be arriving late in the evening. If I book the nearby Hyatt Regency at 5 Embarcadero, will I be able to walk to it? Will I feel comfortable walking to it at night?

mission street, people will say is not the best place to be: But when you get off the bus you will really be on Embarcadero at the ferry bldg. Just walk across the street at Market, it's a very short walk along the side of the hotel to the enterance. I always felt safe. [it is a great hotel, escalator/elevator up to lobby] There could be bums on the street, but not in the hotel.

Thanks for the replies. No, I hadn't checked the Financial District Station, but it does seem to be a better choice.
The information from Amtrak's website lists this station as the Financial District Bus Stop at 5 Embarcadero Center, Corner of California & Drumm Streets. So this stop is the Hyatt?
