No, I also had the same problem PLUS I'm being asked to log in and provide my password when that used to automatically be done for me!

I almost took it personally, but since I'm having trouble with my yahoo mailbox, too, I thought maybe it was the technological equivalent of a full moon.

But MEANWHILE -- did jorr fail to get the FFR&R going because of all this?

I didn't see this thread, so I just posted a similar one where I described my ordeal upon realizing the board wasn't working. I'm glad to know it isn't just me.

Very frustrating! I couldn't even post that I was having problems because my log-in info didn't automatically come up as it usually does and the site didn't acknowledge my attempts to log in. Glad to know it's not about me!

I usually lurk on the FFR&R threads, having probably a less exciting life than most -- didn't realize how much I looked forward to it. Now I'd be hesitant, as a non-regular, to start it up in jorr's absence (she probably hasn't figured out that things have cleared up at Fodor's). Anyone willing to take the plunge?

At the risk of being flamed for complaining, as I was a few days ago...I'm getting that d**n bookspan down for maintenance message again when I try to log on from aol. And, when I got on using my log, like you Betsy, it wouldn't acknowledge my email address and password. So I came to IE, got right on and didn't have to enter my info when I tried to post. I'm truly grateful that Fodor's is trying to fix the many problems we've been having. But it seems that every time they go down for maintenance the problems get worse rather than better.

It seems to still be acting up, on an "off and on" basis. I just got in, but it took 4 tries and two logons

That was sure frustrating! You realize how addicted you are when you can't get on, lol! Hopefully Jorr will post soon, or maybe he already has...this is the first post I opened.
