Aloha Tower Marketplace

MelissaHi, re: where to find that map, I posted reply under the "Waikiki" thread.

For all visitors to Honolulu, this is a great place!! My fav shopping center/area ("mall" just doesn't sound right) in Hnl, aside from Ward Warehouse. Aloha Tower Mktplace is way prettier, with its open-air walkways. It is also next to the wonderful, easily navigable Maritime Museum with interesting info and historical displays , including a cruise ship set-up that my kids always loved .

Thanks for the plug CaliNurse! My posting has been spotty as I am running around like a chicken without a head and prepping for my next trip (this Friday).

Just to let you know, the Aloha Tower itself is open 7 days a week from 9-5 and the ride in the elevator is free. The Tower is 80 years old, though, so don't expect a newfangled elevator!

We have fish food dispensers along the pier between our mall and the Maritime Museum. Put in a quarter, out comes fish food. You can then feed the tropical fish in the crystal clear Honolulu Harbor.

I enjoyed my visit to the Aloha Tower. After we came down from the top I bought a couple of really cool baseball caps, battery operated hula dancer, tee shirts, and my wife picked up some neat chinese-style clothes.

Then we took a short cab ride back to Waikiki.

I recommend Aloha Tower to everyone.

Melissa, my grandson loved feeding the fish near the Tower. Their bright, vibrant colors are gorgeous.
