Tent Rocks is also closed.
This is the view from my backyard, about 40 miles southeast of fire. Those are not clouds, that is all smoke from the fires.

be safe everyone.
DebitNM: Any updates today? We are headed your way on the 16th ...
We were planning on Taos for a few days - hear there is smoke there - any idea how "bad"?
Obviously looks like Bandelier will be a no go.
And Tent Rocks.
And trails up top of Sandia Peak...
And(?) part/all of bosque bike trail in ABQ?
What else?
We are wondering what our options might be come the 16th.
I know it's hard to predict, and obviously, everyone's safety is more important that our vacation...just trying to get a feel for what will not be do-able this trip.
We are booked in ABQ, Sante Fe and Taos.
Thanks and again, I know this might sound selfish -- no offense is intended ... we of course are thinking of everyone in the effected areas. And shedding some tears over what is being destroyed...
Thanks.
The smoke is still very visible from here tonight.
I think Taos is ok, and that all outdoor things there are unaffected.
Life goes on here in ABQ. The Zoo, musuems, restaurants, cultural centers, pueblos are all available to visitors. The same for Santa Fe. Hopefully, things will be better when you get here. I will continue to update.
Here is a current list of Open Space closures in ABQ area:
