Hi
Traveling from Albany, NY to Newport, RI this fall. Have looked at various map sites and all say Mass Turnpike to 146 to 95 to 4 to 138, except one site suggested quickest would be Mass Turn to 146 to 95 to 195 to Fall River and then 24 to Newport. Has anyone done either or both and have recommendations
Thanks

Take a look at a map - the only differences is in the last 5 miles in and around Newport.

I would do the first option, except also taking the I-295 bypass between 146 and I-95. It avoids: a) Providence, and b) the relatively slow stretch of 114 on Aquidneck Island from Portsmouth down to Newport.
Thanks for the advice
