alaska trip in early sept

Jump to last reply

my partner and i are planning a trip to the area around the anchorage area fro 8 days in early sept.

we are thinking of doing the ferry from whittier to valdez with a car. does anyone know what that costs?

we were going to drive at least one way to valdez from anchorage. i have heard the drive is very pretty. and we were thinking of the best western in valdez. has anyone stayed there?

if we would drive back from valdez to the anchorage area, any suggestions about where to stay fro night before we go to seward?

and then we were going to seward for the long trip out of seward to see animal life. as i recall the longer tour is better and more likely to see wildlife. and we were thinking of the holday inn express in seward.

then driving to homer. probably staying at land's end..

any feedback woud be nice.
