Trip Report Alaska - traveling Anchorage - Denali - Fairbanks

Jump to last reply

I highly recommend the Alaska Bus Guy for transportation between Anchorage and Fairbanks, as there are few alternatives. The owner, Ron Phillips, uses vegetable oil to power his vans and does some of the driving himself. Our van traveled almost noise free, no doubt party due to the purity of the fuel. His prices are competitive, e.g $85 from Denali to Anchorage. Ron is a very interesting fellow to discuss alternative energy and even national politics with. Also, he looks like a certified Alaskan frontiersman standing over 6 feet, broad shoulders, and long white beard.

His web site is http://www.alaskabusguy.com/.
